Learn to Avoid Being Ripped Off By
an Unscrupulous Carpet Cleaner
What is a Certified Cleaner?
What is a Certified Cleaner? You may see that in the yellow pages or their ads many cleaners advertise that they are certified. What does that mean to you? Many people are not aware of the fact that most cleaners have no training or license. Can’t anyone clean my carpet?
Your carpets on average are the 3rd largest investment of ones life. Carpet cleaning is a science that should not be trusted to just anyone. In most industries there are 3 types of businesses the good, the bad and the ugly.
The Bad: These people may be trying their best to do a good job. Many of these people think a low price is what you want so they never spend money on quality products, training, or new tools. Unfortunately many of these people do not know that they are damaging customers carpets and sometimes their health.
The Ugly: These people care about one thing only and that is how much money they can get from you. They will use all of the scams and they use the cheapest products, which damage your carpets.
The Good: The good companies know that you have invested a sum of money into your carpets. Their goal is to provide the safest high quality cleaning available. They do this by providing continuous training to employees and purchasing the best products for their customers.
Because the government has not yet regulated the industry the good companies have decided to police our industry. The IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) was created in the 1970’s.
The IICRC provides training, exams, proof of insurance, code of ethics, and has customer complaint procedures. The training teaches fiber identification, carpet construction, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemistry. Simply put the IICRC ensures that you will receive a higher quality product.
Be careful not everyone who claims to be certified is. Look it up for yourself at IICRC.org.
Why I am in Business...
Why I am in Business: Cleanrite was started to provide people with a truly professional cleaning service. The founder of the business was disappointed with the fact that the carpet cleaning franchise he was working for discouraged him from taking courses so he decided to start up Cleanrite to offer its customers with the highest trained staff which use only the best products and equipment. Today Cleanrite is owned and operated by Regina’s only master cleaner and is the only new warrantee approved IICRC certified firm.
